It would really be convenient for those who cook to have fresh herbs and tomatoes ready for the picking anytime. This is possible if you have your own herb garden. But what if you do not have the green thumb to maintain a garden properly? Do not fret. The Upside Down Tomato Garden is here.
This is a nifty gadget that allows you to grow your own tomatoes and herbs at home even if you do not have a garden. What it does is to have the tomatoes grow upside down from an elevated planting bed. Through this gadget, the fruits of the tomato plant will grow in the air, away from the soil (where they usually rot). While you are growing your red, plump tomatoes, you can also grow your basil, rosemary, or parsley on top.

The Upside Down Tomato Garden is a compact planter that easily fits any kind of space as long as there is ample sunlight. There is a hollow base that should be filled up with sand to keep the whole thing stable and upright. The planting bed is plastic and is held in place by PVC pipes.
This planter can be placed on a balcony, near a window, or on the back porch. As long as there is good supply of sunlight, you will be able to grow your own tomatoes here. It is about 48 inches in height and 25 inches wide. It weighs about 19 pounds and is being sold online at about $70. It is easy to use and assemble because you won’t need any tools.
